CHERRY CREEK VILLAGE WATER DISTRICT WATERING RESTRICTIONS

The water supply for Cherry Creek Village Water District comes from Denver Water, therefore it is requested that you follow the watering guidelines from Denver Water.

Voluntary watering restrictions mean that Cherry Creek Village Water District customers may water no more than three times per week. Denver Water and in turn, the District, is asking its customers to reduce outdoor watering and follow the standard annual watering rules.

Please review the attached - 2022 SUMMER WATERING RULES.

EFFICIENCY IS THE NEW CONSERVATION

Denver Water Board of Commissioners approved an updated Water Efficiency Plan in January 2018. The new plan is refocusing from a broad message of “Use Only What You Need” to a more focused and specific message:

  • Pay attention to the weather and your landscape, and only water when necessary.
  • Use a day of rain to skip watering.
  • Only water the areas of your yard that are dry. For example, if shady areas look fine, only water the dry areas that get the most sun exposure.

For more details, please click the TAP article.

Customers with new plants, including seed, sod, annuals, shrubs or trees, may apply to the District for permission to water as necessary for up to 21 days. Call 303-381-4960. After 21 days, regular watering rules apply.

Denver Water website will continue to provide up to the date information on these issues.

Adjust watering times at least once per month.

STAGNANT WATER FLUSHING

Many buildings have had little to no usage during the Stay at Home order. When re-occupying the building, there may be stagnant water in your water lines. Please click Denver Water’s recommendations for recommendations on how to clear the lines.
